Making a Website Tutorial - Part 1

Developing and thinking through a concept and a plan.

Here is 1 of 5 tutorials on how to make a website and a profit off of it. I thought this would be a great addition as a start as this blog is just getting started. This tutorial will cover all parts from making a website to selling it for a profit or using other ways to make money off of a website.

To get started on making a site you’ll need a plan, a niche to get started in. Basically you’ll need 2 things the niche and the type of site.

The niche

A niche is category of an industry, that you can choose to be in to make a website on. Just about every niche out there has it’s own way to make big and small money, it’s a fact that every niche pays alot, it just depends on your quality of work. Before you choose a niche, remember, that this is something that you’ll have to think/talk about all the time for quite a long period, until you finally either get rid of the site or automate it or hire someone to update it, so make sure that whatever topic you choose is something you can tolerate for at least 6 months, and still say interested enough to promote it and talk more about it.

Every niche has 3 basic things that you can use to make money online, they are affiliates, products and tips. These are basically the top 3 most used things in any niche around the net, used to make money online.

The type

Every niche has it’s own types of sites such as:

1. Galleries
2. Tip sites
3. Article sites
4. News Blogs
5. User blogs
6. Product sites
7. Support sites
8. …etc

Choosing which type of site will be your next task, usually people would go for either blogs or galleries because the both include alot of content in a short period of time and the more content the better, if you are new to the game you should choose either galleries or blogs because they are the easiest to develop because of alot of resources available for those type of sites.

Like I said before, every niche has the potential to make alot of money, it’s the effort in the site that makes the site a big earner. Choose which ever niche and site type that appeals to you the most, so that it won’t seem like a drag later.
